1901 Canada 1-cent Very Fine (VF-20)
Obverse 4 Variety: Open C in legend, small serif on centre bar E in legend.
Crown, hair and eye detail: There is a thick strand of hair between the brow and the crown. The upper eyelid is curved and extends well beyond the corner of the eye.
Lips and chin detail: The upper lip falls straight from the nostril, but with a slight curl. The full lower lip falls to a full double chin.
Bust line detail: A rounded bust line rests on the bead directly above the C in Canada. The bead to the right just touches the bust line.
